| Medical Officer Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley). Medical supervisor of health concerns on the USS Enterprise. His warmth and humanism clash when facing unknown diseases. His relationship with the captain and friendly feud with Mr. Spock define the main triunvirate of the series. |
| Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott (James Doohan). Of scottish origin, his pride and joy are the USS Enteprise engines. Third in command after Kirk and Spock en la cadena de mando. His ingenuity for problem solving and emergency repairs have earned him a reputation as a miracle worker. |
| Helmsman Hikaru Sulu (George Takei). In charge of navigation and taking the USS Enterprise to where thier mission require them to be. Initially into botany, shows a marked predilection for fencing. |
| Pavel Checkov (Walter Koenig). Responsible for security and weapons of the USS Enterprise. Born in Russia, his history knowledge is somewhat colored by his nationalism. The youngest of the bridge crew, look up to Kirk as an example to emulate. |
| Lieutenant Nyota Uhura (Nichelle Nichols). Communications officer for the USS Enterprise. Of african origin, her name comes from the swahili "uhuru" which means freedom. |
| Nurse Christine Chapel (Majel Barrett). Dr. McCoy's assistant, has unrequited love interest and attraction for Mr. Spock. |
